Explorations in Color + Composition - Session 1

Summary

This class take’s Cézanne’s vision into many of the new ways that artists further opened perspective and pictorial space, color and mark making in the 20th Century and continue to do so up to our own time. This won’t be an exhaustive account of such a vast subject, but we’ll touch on the main themes.

Subjects to work with: Portrait, Still Life, Landscape, Interiors, Abstracts. It’s not necessary to have completed the class on Cézanne first. The second session is the same as the first, but it’s always different, so you can take both and learn twice as much.

Cost

$400 (members) or $450 (non-members) tuition for all 6 classes, to be paid through the Oregon Society of Artists (OSA).

Location

Classes will be held at the Oregon Society of Artists (OSA).
